Terrapin Logo Configuration

Enter your login code and click "Load" to load your settings. Click "Save" to save your settings. There is no need to log out, just close the tab when you are done, or reload the page. The settings are applied the next time you log in.

Campus Name

This is your campus name; change it to your liking. Together with a configuration file, Logo also uses the campus name to identify itself to the Terrapin server (desktop version only, see Automatic Logins). Only lower case letters, numbers, and underline characters are allowed.

Menus

Uncheck the menu items that you would like to hide. Remember to save your changes!

Startup Commands

Enter the commands and procedures that Logo executes during launch. Use these commands to change the layout, change PREFS settings, the prompt, and more. Read more...

Startup File (desktop version only)

Enter the full path of a Logo file (.LGO or .logoenv) that Logo should load after logging in.

Vetting (desktop version only)

Enter the highest Logo version number that the desktop version of Logo should load automatically. This prevents desktop versions of Logo from updating Logo. This setting requires the presence of a configuration file. Read more...

Automatic Logout

Students are logged out automatically after minutes of inactivity. Leave blank if you do not need this feature.

Login Options

Define the way students will log in; several options are available. If you as the admin want to display the login dialog, simply press and hold the Shift key during launch.

Students log in by entering the campus name. Select this option if you do not need any more information from your students; the user name will be "Student User". A password is optional, but strongly recommended.

If you want Logo to skip the login dialog, you need to store the campus name in a configuration file so Logo can identify itself to the Terrapin server during launch. Read more...

For the Web version, this setting is the same as "Login with Campus Name".

The list of students is a CSV file containing user names; optionally, it also contains passwords and/or classroom names. Use this option if you need the student's user name to be displayed in Logo, or if you need to format the student's startup folder. Read more...

After you have selected a CSV file, please click the "View" button to check that the list has been loaded properly, and to assign column names to the columns so Logo knows where to look for the user info. The data is saved when you click the "Save" button.
